Casino del Río – Hotel y Casino Viedma

I had a bit of a mixed experience staying here. On the plus side, the room itself was genuinely spacious and comfortable — definitely a nice place to unwind after a long day. The hotel also looks and feels quite luxurious at first glance.

Breakfast, however, was… let’s say “minimalist.” Not terrible, just fairly basic — although I have to admit, the coffee (whether from the machine or Nespresso) was the real highlight and probably the most memorable part of the morning.

A couple of things did catch me off guard. Charging extra for early check-in at a hotel of this level felt a bit stingy — especially since many similar places offer that as a courtesy. On top of that, during my three-day stay, the shampoo and conditioner weren’t refilled, which turned into a bit of a “last drops survival situation” by the end.

The biggest downside, though, was the bathroom — there was a noticeable sewage smell coming from the drain, which isn’t exactly what you expect in a place aiming for luxury.
Would I come back? Maybe — mainly because it seems to be one of the better options in the area. But if there were more alternatives, I’d probably be tempted to try somewhere else next time.
